I have always found the staff friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Recently had to have my rifle repaired (front swivel pulled out by bipod). Repair completed quickly and to a very high standard. I am a very satisfied customer.

Firstly, 3* is a good rating. Its a great shop but I recommend not visiting on a Sunday where only one particular staff member in the gun room is present. Younger guy and frankly, clueless. Probably not his fault in all honesty, he's polite and doesn't denie his lack of knowledge. But, when you are looking for a service, the shop really does require a more educated in the field member of staff

Ordered a Failsworth hat. Product delivered was old stock from a couple of seasons ago (as confirmed by the manufacturer) which was a different design to what was expected. Emailed to explain and complain about the situation but email was completely ignored. Sent a follow-up email which was again ignored. Customer service is severely lacking and would advise avoiding this business.

Have bought a few items from here, staff is always helpful and friendly. Cannot really fault it…

I've shopped at Evans for several years now. There are cheaper places to shop but they know their stuff, their advice to me has always been honest and they've never sold me something bad. I believe they care about me as a customer and I'm going to carry on shopping there.

Martin and the team were fantastic in assisting with the sale of my rifle. Rifles do not sell quickly and so I am very grateful to the persistence of the staff. The shop itself is cosy and well-stocked, the country/shooting clothing is particularly lovely. Thanks again for your help.

I am massively impressed by the quality of staff and kit to be found in this unassuming corner of Bisley Shooting Ground. The guns themselves, whether the top of the range handcrafted jobs or the far more usual and mundane brands are all beautifully presented. The prices are very much on a par with everywhere else except the bottom of the online market but it's the people here who really count - they know their stuff and genuinely want to help you shoot well. I have no hesitation in recommending William Evans to everyone.
